The World All Around Us
devised and held by the Palazzo delle Esposizioni's Art Workshop
July 30 and 31 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Accompanied by the inquisitive, poetic and watchful gaze of artists, illustrators and photographers, we can expand our perception and stimulate our eyes to become aware of the details all around us, of things both distant and near, of both the infinitely small and the positively gigantic.
The workshop is designed to allow children to create original and unexpected images, combining the photographs taken by NASA of the heart of Madagascar, of the Everglades swamp or of the Galapagos Islands with visual games devised by internationally famous illustrators.

Forget Me Not. Posters To Save the Earth
devised and held by Valentina Valecchi
August 1 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm
After diligently observing Luke Jerram's work Gaia and swapping impressions of the feelings and emotions it arouses, the girls and boys will be encouraged to reflect on the interconnections existing among all living beings and on the wonderful fragility of the pale blue dot we live on, highlighting our individual responsibility in that connection. Several photographs and a selection of illustrated books will be used to support the work and to stimulate the children's ideas
And last but not least, threatened members of our flora and fauna will be given pride of place in graphic work produced with rubber stamps, stencils and collage to produce posters designed to promote greater respect for the beauty that lies in the differences among all the species living on our tiny planet.
