The KissKIss You workshop is a re-appropriation of the relationship each body has with itself and with other bodies. Individual and collective, we intend to bring the body back to the centre of an urgent artistic and political reflection.
It is therefore a question of activating practices and conditions that can reopen the feeling of the body in all its expressions of presence and dynamics, in relation to itself and to other bodies, in an attempt to reconstruct a connection of the human with itself.
KissKIssYou is a motorial investigation developed through a work practice that opens up to old and new proximities to experiment the relationship of the body with the physical space and with the body of others, giving life to a group/body that focuses on the presence of a thick, complex and stratified entity in relation to centres of tension and escape points, where the individual and the collective become expressions of the same creative action, considered operationally as a physical and choral architecture, personal and ensemble.
An attempt to liberate forms in opening to the outside, imagined as molecules expanded, subjective, free and overlapped that amplify the political value of the body that acts them.
Workshop organised in collaboration with Buffalo.
Kinkaleri is present with the performance HEllO◦ on 11 June at 9.30 p.m. at the Macro as part of Buffalo III edition 2022, a project chorealised by Teatro di Roma - Teatro Nazionale, Azienda Speciale Palaexpo with the contribution of the National Roman Museum.
Kinkaleri was founded in 1995 as a 'grouping of formats and means poised in the attempt'. The members meet with the intention of realising specific projects, soliciting the will to work around concrete ideas and taking care of all the necessary aspects for their own creations.
Kinkaleri operates between theatrical experimentation, movement research, visual installations, sound materials and performance, seeking a language not on the basis of a style but directly in the evidence of an object. The group's works have been shown at numerous programmes in Italy and abroad.
In 2002, the company received the "PREMIO LO STRANIERO Scommesse per il futuro" (LO STRANIERO Bets for the Future Award), the UBU Award for best dance-theatre performance. Kinkaleri is based in Prato in spazioK, one of the spaces of the former Campolmi industrial area in the historical centre of Prato. The group is currently formed by: Massimo Conti, Marco Mazzoni, Gina Monaco.
