"It is a letter with an open mouth, it has a curved belly that is empty, with two arms-protuberances, claws, stretched out that are equivalent. A letter that has the shape of a magnet, the shape of a theatre without a stage, of a wave with a descending and ascending force. U if you say it stretching it is "you", if you pronounce it raising the tone it is a scream of pleasure-happiness, if you turn it down it is a rumbling cave, U is the first letter of what is called non-place, ever since T. More invented the concept of Utopia.
The workshop includes a bilateral passage that can offer an opportunity for encounter, exchange, surprise, imagination and the realisation of a collective work/environment. Together with us will participate during the three days some artists* and personalities with whom we have already connected and with whom we share strategies and artistic visions. The guests will inform the days on some fundamental issues that constitute for us the foundations of the creation of an environment: the principle of relationship and hospitality, the function of sound and the dramaturgy of time, post-identity issues and non-binary approaches. With the participation of Hugo Sanchez, Tomboys don't cry, Anne Lise Le Gac, Merende.
The "UUUUUUUUU!" workshop is addressed to people interested in shared practices (not necessarily exercised as a profession) or who cultivate a love for particular disciplines (e.g. linked to body care/wellbeing; the study of scientific and/or artistic and literary disciplines, divination, a practical art, linked to the body, movement, sound, music and their production and function etc.) and who wish to share them and put them at the service of others. People interested in building a relational space in which subjectivities can mingle while maintaining their own identity.
On 21 May there will be an opening to the public and a sharing of the practices and environment created during the workshop days.
Industria Indipendente is Erika Z. Galli and Martina Ruggeri. Their artistic process crosses different languages and practices, constantly redetermined by the urgency to investigate what opens up horizons of storytelling and expression, in an uninterrupted search for affinity, epidermal sensitivity and glance. What triggers their work is the encounter between perspectives that, in recognising and confusing each other, open up other expressive possibilities. Something that is already born as shared, collective, full, but without a subject: a dialogue with several bodies, individual voices and expressive traces. Whatever aspect they choose to activate, their works articulate certain questions and reflections: the relationship between human beings and nature, the dimension of "unproductive" time, the construction of alternative and fictional worlds in which to establish communities and alliances, the continuous overturning and re-creation of individual and collective identities.

REGISTRATION
What we are asking is to send a text to the email laboratori.pelanda@palaexpo.it (without any indication of length or brevity) where the person can present him/herself, his/her wishes to share starting from questions such as: what would I like to offer unconditionally - even beyond my work, my professionalism - to others? How can I confuse my identity with that of another? Where would I like to spend an interminable and generative time, my-our-their space? Where would I like to rest, study, invent sounds or words, or simply listen? Where and how would I like other people to be welcomed? How would I like to be welcomed? What words and signs would I like to use? What is the free code we can compose? How can my body feel free to express its individuality by mixing with others? Can we be a super-organism? A large body free to stay or to detach itself and then return? Who and what am I missing?
Participation in the workshops is free of charge.
Entry to Mattatoio is only permitted to people with a FFP2 mask.
Given the limited capacity, the first 40 applications will be considered, from which participants will be selected for each workshop, with a maximum of 20 participants.
Applications to attend more than one workshop will only be considered in the event of availability. Priority will be given to those who have not already attended or had confirmation of admission to the other scheduled workshops.
The group of participants will be defined by the teaching artist in collaboration with the Mattatoio staff, and the selection will be considered final unless there are cancellations.
Registration deadline 13 May.
