Celebrated in over 120 countries and 700 cities worldwide, Velia will bring this year’s World Music Day and the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, to life. A Rome-based, Afro-house DJ born and raised in New York City, Velia broadcasts her multi-culture and artistic side through her music. Her Sicilian and Barbadian roots as well as cities such as New York, Rome, Amsterdam and Barcelona contributed to the development of her musical repertoire which ranges from electronic, deep house, Nu-Jazz, Soul to other sub-genres of dance music. Her selection is inspired by the NYC house scene especially by events such as Shelter, The Loft Party and Paradise Garage.
