The workshop is structured to resemble a path exploring the relationship between listening and a physical place. Certain forms and techniques for the creation, dissemination and enjoyment of sound will be illustrated through listening, examples and analysis. Participants will be involved in the production of an immersive sound installation involving writing, recording, selecting audio content, assembling and producing the end product.
Who it's for:
The workshop is open to everyone over the age of 18. Sound engineers and people with an interest in recording and/or editing audio are especially welcome.
Painé Cuadrelli is a music producer, sound designer and dj working in various environments including electronic/digital music and sound applied to different media, radio and performance art.
Based in Milan, he composes and produces soundtacks and sound design for films, documentaries, audiovisual and interactive installations, exhibitions, theatrical productions, fashion shows and communications projects.
He has produced two albums for the Temposhere Records label (Simplemente Asì, Spontaneous, Hey Presto!) along with collaborations (Soslo, Solid Gas, I Maniaci Dei Dischi, GaMaPaWa, Scanner) and remixes (Casino Royale, Giuliano Sorgini), being some of his more recent works.
He coordinates the Sound Design course at the IED in Milan where he teaches sound design. He is the founder and artistic director of the mixed-media platform Compl8 Produzioni through which he is involved in the production of records, multimedial content, retrospectives and projects in collaboration with artists and musicians.

To take part in the workshops, please email a page in .Pdf format with a short CV and ten lines explaining your motivation, to laboratori.pelanda@palaexpo.it specifying the workshop in which you wish to take part and including a contact phone number.

In view of the workshops' restricted capacity, the first 40 applications will be taken into consideration and the participants in the individual workshops, up to a maximum of 20 participants per workshop, will be selected from that list.
Applications for attending more than one workshop will be taken into consideration only in the event places are available. Precedence will be given to those who have not already taken part or received confirmation of their admission to other workshops in the programme.
The group of participants will be decided on by the artist teaching, in conjunction with the Mattatoio staff. Their selection is final, barring any cancellations.
