Movimento imagine is an experiment focusing on the process of creating a performance gesture.
In the centre of the image choreographer and performer Alessandro Sciarroni; MP5 follows and draws his movement with a novel technique via a device specially designed during the “Prender-si Cura” residency and which, on this occasion, is being unveiled before the audience who will be exceptionally allowed to witness a phase of this hitherto inaccessible work.
Seemingly devised as a performance, this presentation is in fact a fully-fledged session of drawing from life, paving the way for a broader project which comprises various evolutions including a cycle of paintings, a video installation and a publication.
MP5 is an artist known for their incisive black and white drawings which are used in different media. Their studies in animation and set design for theater led them to focus their research in various areas, from audio / video installations to mural interventions.
Active in the European underground and counterculture scene, over the last ten years MP has strongly linked their work to the queer feminist scene.
